  1. Man I like that one... I almost ordered a Casio Pathfinder the other day.

Saw one on a soldier yesterday and it was friggin cool. Huge, but cool.

What's the model number on the one you're wearing?

  2. Its a Columbia CL5054. It's pretty big. I wore it during our camping trip.

  3. I have this watch and love it. But the band has split, and is shaped such that a generic one won't work. I've contacted Columbia (it's made by fossil). Fossil says they no longer have this particular band.

Have you come across any replacement parts for this watch?

  4. Hello, thanks for checking out my site. I know what you mean about the irregular band shape. My sister used to work for fossil, I will ask her if she still has any contacts there.

I have toyed with putting a military NATO strap on this watch. The results were not great but it worked.

It's ironic that you found this watch post today. My watch of the day today is this columbia. I am going to post better pics and a small write up on it tonight. I will include a picture of it on the NATO.

    Thanks for looking!

  5. thanks, any information (example pics) would be great. i'm on the fence right now over buying a new watch or not. Can't stand thinking to just get rid of it just because I can't find a decent replacement band.

  6. Here are a couple of pics of it on the NATO strap. It's a 20mm NATO. There is a guy on ebay called strapblog that sells them for $10 shipping included. They come in varying degrees of quality and lots of colors and color combinations.

I put almost all my watches on NATO's from time to time. I have a lot of other examples on this site.

For this columbia I would sugest a regular NATO and not the ZULU variety. The ZULUs are a lot thicker and the columbia has a very tight gap between the spring bar and the watch.

When my rubber strap finally breaks on this watch (and they always do) It's going to live on the NATO permantly.

Thanks for checking out my blog!

  7. well... I'm back. I've had no luck trying to locate a suitable replacement band for this watch.

so, I was wondering... since you like the NATO strap on there so much.. any chance you'd be willing to sell me the original band from yours?

    just curious.

and thanks for the suggestions and info either way!
