Fossil FS-2913 ARKITEKT with Chocolate Dial
Today's watch is probably my favorite Fossil watch. The FS-2913 ARKITEKT with a Chocolate Dial. This watch features a quartz movement with day and date and is quite large. It measures 45mm including the crown. This watch has a great dial and is quite substantial. It feels a lot more expensive than it is. All and all, a great fossil watch!

Dec 10, 2010 Casio G-Shock GL-7500 HD Hawaiian Pro Designs
Today's watch is my sweet G-Shock GL-7500HD. This watch was a limited edition release from 2005. I usually wear it on a modified NATO but since I put my 5600 on a NATO I decided to put this back on its original resin strap so I can show some more of the cool design features, the Hawaiian Pro Designs bird logo on the bottom strap, and the G-Lide in a military style stencil on the top strap. The case back also has the Hawian Pro Designs logo engraved into it. Very cool! Hang loose! Click here for more information on this watch here

Dec 8, 2010 Kangol 4008BC on a Bund Strap
Today's watch is one from my sisters collection. It's the Kangol 4008BC. I know Kangol from their hats but apparently they make watches too! This is a small watch measuring about 34mm across. 30 years ago it would have been a mans watch but in the modern age it's probably just for women. The watch has some very cool design features. It has interesting single lugs and a deep rehaut. The only numbers on the dial are the 3 and 8. The crown is quite large and knurled. The band is a Bund.
All in all it's a pretty cool fashion watch. If it were a bit larger I would wear it!

Dec 6, 2010 Sottomarino Pilotare SM50094-A
Today's watch is this Awesome Sottomarino Pilotare big pilot watch. My wife bought me this for Christmas but gave it to me early since she knew I had been looking at these for months and would be very excited. She was right!
This watch is a homage to the classic Flieger Aviator watches of WWII. This watch is a very large 47mm and it has a large crown and a hacking movement meaning the second hand stops when you pull out the crown. This was essential for a precise time setting and synchronizing of the watch. The large crown enables the watch to be wound while wearing leather flying gloves. The dial was inspired by the Type B Flieger which had numerals 5-55.
I was worried about being able to wear a 47mm watch since my wrist is only about 6.5"
I really didn't need to worry at all. Lucky for me I have a wide flat wrist and this watch sits on it perfectly! This knowledge has opened the door for a lot more big watches for me! Muwahahahaha!
My pilotare features an automatic mechanical movement, good lume, seconds at 9, clear case back, and a small date window. I like the fact the date window is small as it doesn't distract from the fantastic dial yet it is there when I need it. The original fliegers didn't have a date complication so I really like that it's subdued. It also comes on a fantastic super soft thick leather strap. I am very impressed with the strap.
My new favorite watch!

Sat Dec 4, 2010 Fossil Blue DQ-1039 Digital
Today's watch is my old Fossil Digital Sport Hologram Display DQ1039. My sister gave me this watch when my old Timex IRONMAN triathlon died. This watch has a large display and a excellent EL light. The display is a really cool blue that is hard to capture with a flash. I did get a good picture of it a few weeks ago while playing golf. That pic can be seen by clicking the link bellow.
Blue Face
This watch is 40mm across and features a stopwatch, timer, 2nd timezone, alarm, day and date, and is waterproof to 100 meters/330Feet. It also sports a convenient Velcro strap.
This is my go to watch for all kinds of outdoor activities.

Dec 3, 2010 Digital Watch Week Watch #5 Timex IRONMAN T53331
Today's watch is is a Timex IRONMAN T53331. This watch needed a new strap so I put it on a NATO. I put everything on NATO's. Shockey is very fond of these Ironmans, he has a very similar watch that will be profiled at a later date.
This watch has a rather large display and is very easy to see. It also features a top pusher for easy access to lap and split times, and black resin top ring within a black case. Sport timing features include a 100-hour chronograph with lap or split option, 24-hour countdown timer with countdown/stop and countdown/repeat functions, and 99-lap counter. It also features daily/weekday/weekend alarms with 5-minute back-up, two time zones, built-in setting reminders, and water resistance to 100 meters (330 feet).

Columbia CL5054 Compas Watch on a NATO Strap
As you know I like to put all my watches on NATO's. Here are some pics of my Columbia CL5054 on a 20mm NATO Strap.
At first I didn't like it on the NATO but now I think it looks pretty good. But then again I am partial to NATO straps.
